LUIS R7-S compact rear view system with automatic shutter camera

The LUIS R7-S compact system has been specially designed for trucks, commercial vehicles, motor homes and heavy-duty vehicles such as excavators and construction equipment, combine harvesters and tractors. Its special features include the compact shutter camera made of extremely robust stainless steel. Over a decade of knowledge and experience at LUIS has been incorporated into the development of this camera. The cover closes automatically to provide the camera with additional protection against dirt, rain and snow. To provide powerful night vision even in total darkness (0 lux), the LUIS R7-S stainless steel compact camera is equipped with infrared LEDs and provides up to 15 m of visibility in the dark. The large viewing angle of 150 degrees enables a wide area behind the vehicle to be seen. The robust design means that it can be used in extreme conditions. The camera is designed for up to 10 G vibration resistance and up to 100 G shock resistance and has the highest IP69k rating. It can also operate at temperatures from -30 to +70°C. It has a built-in heater for use in bad weather.

With its extra-anti-glare screen, the LUIS R7-S monitor helps to ensure that you have a full view of the vehicle, even in bright conditions with the potential for glare. The shock-resistant bracket and the robust design of the rear view system enable it to be used even in the most challenging conditions. The monitor adapts automatically to the external lighting conditions and switches the key lighting on if necessary. Depending on the requirements for the LUIS R7-S, guide lines can be added via the multilingual menu to aid simple manoeuvring. Two cameras can be connected to the monitor (the LUIS quad monitor is suitable for up to four cameras, article no. 001064). 

It can also be connected to your OEM on-board system or navigation system (e.g. Mercedes FleetBoard or MAN MMT) with the relevant LUIS adapter. The R7-S compact stainless steel camera is of course subject to our comprehensive and strict quality assurance processes with routine inspections of each individual item at every key stage of production. So you also benefit from a 48-month LUIS warranty for this camera.
